Browns Canyon National Monument

The newest to Colorado’s National Monument scene, Browns Canyon earned its designation in February 2015, bringing the total to eight statewide. Here you’ll find sweeping views of the Arkansas River Valley and the Sawatch Range in south-central Colorado, near Buena Vista.

Comanche Drive-In Theatre

The Comanche Drive In is located 3 miles west of Buena Vista, Colorado on Highway 306.  It is one of about 335 drive ins left in the country, and one of 8 remaining in Colorado.
Nestled at the head of the Arkansas Valley, at an elevation of 8000 ft, surrounded by magnificent peaks, the Comanche is not only noted for its beautiful view,  but is also the highest in elevation of any Drive In in the US.
